Suck it! Snowflakes!!!
It sounds like a good rumour, but at what cost? Leafs aren't the only team looking for young defensemen and they'll be after a kings ransom. Could our first rounder be in play? I guess it depends on where Anaheim ends up, after the playoffs. Isn't there a conditional pick, from the Bernier deal still in play? |

"The other question is whether Toronto believes that Manson has the skill set to be a top-four defenseman. If they do, than a deal between the two frequent trading partners is quite possible before June 21."
Given that he anchors a partnership with Lindholm, I would say yes. |

Manson straight up for JVR? Thinking Anaheim can't resign JVR the year after. Otherwise the Leafs have to find a construction with rookies/picks |

I'd rather that he keeps pissing on the maggots at CNN and MSNBC.

Not really....it's OK, but there are better places to get news on the net and just follow the news conferences and make up my own mind. The War Room is good! |

Never seen/heard it. I mainly follow a few folks on twitter depending on what it is I'm looking for. Definitely a fan of Al Jazeera for middle Eastern news, and BBC does a decent all-round job too. Pretty much all of the US networks are terrible, though there's a few decent reporters out there (Maddow on MSNBC, Shep Smith on Fox, Sarah Kenzdior, David Fahrenthold etc etc). |

I like the idea, but would then go with Rielly/Tanev; Gards/Manson; Guy/Z. Manson performs well with a more offensive guy so would pair well with Gards, and Rielly/Tanev looked excellelent in the IIHF last year. |

Used to watch some of the Al Jazeera, until they took it off Directv. I also listen to some of the stuff from MSNBC, but pretty much have deserted CNN. It's one long hit piece, so why bother? I do try to read the Huffington Post, sometimes. Tried to get a piece published there, but haven't heard from them as of yet. Readers Digest Canada liked it, but it was time sensitive and their magazines are already 3 months advanced. Oh well, I'll file this story. It's actually a fluff piece on the 50th Anniversary of the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band LP. |

I think that our biggest need is a legit top 4 defender, that fits in the age group of the core. Preferably a right handed defender, but at what cost? Winnipeg may be shopping one, but not sure which one to target. If they can get that one piece, you can always take on two older defenders, for 5 and 6. If they want a salary dump of Bieksa, in a deal for Manson, he'd slot in where Polak used to be....if they don't resign him. |

Good point rielly-Tanev could skate with anyone in the league
I would still put Manson with one of the kids, he has that steady feel to his game that can anchor a d pair.
With the NHL going for rosters with at least 3 scoring lines up front I bet 3 balanced d pairs is the next trend. Just look at the pens defence, there all equally terrible. |

Agreed! There is a lack of sandpaper in front of the net. We have allot of skilled defenders, but need someone to shore up the top 4 with defensive responsibilities.

Yeah, CNN is pretty crappy. At least MSNBC find people who actually have a clue what they're saying, even if I don't always agree with their opinion.
Good luck on getting published! |

Honestly, I think that both Tanev and Manson are legitimate top 4 guys. They're not offensive guys so don't show up on the regular box-score, but both are excellent shutdown guys, and if we could add both then we'd have our greatest issue - keeping pucks out - pretty much taken care of. |
